How it works

301 or 302: which redirect should I use?

Use 301 (permanent) when the change is final, such as http to https; search engines then transfer relevance to the new URL. 302 is for temporary changes.

What is HSTS?

The Strict-Transport-Security header forces browsers to always use HTTPS with your site, even if someone types http://. Enable it only once the whole site works properly over HTTPS.
